Dale Earnhardt Jr raced in an American Lemans Series Corvette in 2004 at Infineon. In practice, he had this scary crash where he suffered only minor burns. Earnhardt later said he clearly remembers someone pulling him out of the car (he is obviously dazed after the hit), but in the video, you can see nobody is there to do that.
